NEW Attendance Procedures starting Monday, April 17th
The Wellington Catholic District School Board has implemented a new, more efficient student absence reporting system called SafeArrival. This new system will reduce the time it takes to verify student attendance, make it easy for you to report your child’s absence and easy for staff to respond to unexplained student absences. St. Paul is scheduled to begin this coming Monday, April 17th
What you NEED to do before MONDAY, April 17th to prepare for this new way of reporting absences?
1. Download the FREE App. Using your mobile device, download SchoolMessenger app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store OR go to the SafeArrival website go.schoolmessenger.ca The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account OR make note of the new attendance line phone number (1-833-337-8065) for reporting an absence using the automated phone system.
2. Sign Up through App or Website - use your preferred email. If the school does not have your preferred email, you will be asked to call the school to update our records.
3. Confirm information; confirm your contacts - you should see all of your children (both elementary and secondary students), update your message preferences ie: who to contact for attendance, general, etc., review your settings - ask for notifications, so that you will receive notifications on your phone.
4. Wait for April 17th and the system will be live. At that point you will be able to use the app fully to report any absences. Until April 17th, you will only be able to do up to step 3.
5. Any questions in advance, please contact the office at 519-824-9470.
